MATH / CALCULATOR
GCD and LCM Calculator.
Find the greatest common divisor and least common multiple.
LET’S WORK IT OUT
Your numbers, your answer.
THE WHY BEHIND THE ANSWER
How it works.
The GCD is the greatest integer that divides both numbers. The LCM is the smallest positive integer divisible by both.
THE FORMULALCM(a,b) = |a × b| ÷ GCD(a,b)
Worked example
For 24 and 36, the GCD is 12 and the LCM is 72.
Good to know
Use positive whole numbers up to one million so intermediate products remain exact.
ONE MORE THING
How are GCD and LCM related?
For positive integers, their product equals the product of the original numbers.
