MATH / CALCULATOR
Compound Growth Calculator.
Explore how a starting amount grows at a fixed rate.
LET’S WORK IT OUT
Your numbers, your answer.
THE WHY BEHIND THE ANSWER
How it works.
Compounding applies growth to both the starting amount and previously accumulated growth. This model assumes a constant rate and no extra contributions.
THE FORMULAFuture amount = starting amount × (1 + annual rate ÷ periods per year)^(periods per year × years)
Worked example
1,000 at 5% compounded yearly for two years grows to 1,102.50.
Good to know
This is a mathematical illustration, not a forecast. It excludes taxes, fees, inflation and changing rates.
ONE MORE THING
Does this predict future returns?
No. It illustrates a fixed-rate scenario and does not account for investment risk, taxes, fees or changing rates.
